Lucey E. Paul, 98, of Rogers City passed away Monday evening May 31, 2021 at Medilodge of Rogers City.
The daughter of Joseph and Bernice (Kapala) Nowicki was born on March 16, 1923 in Pulawski Township. As a young girl Lucey went to Detroit where she worked at a Detroit Ball Bearing Company. She married Theodore Paul on September 3, 1946 at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen. In 1953 they made their home in Rogers City where they owned and operated the Mello D Inn retiring in 1971. Lucey enjoyed spending her spare time in her flower gardens, cooking, and being with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore in 2002; four brothers Harry, Dominic, Bernard, and Edmund Nowicki; two sisters Blanche Hentkowski, and Bernice Krajniak.
Survivng are a son Marlowe (Susan) Paul of Menominee, two daughters Linette (Clyde) Bredow and Carleen Paul both of Rogers City; three grandchildren April Schuiling, Angela Hanson, and Jesse Paul; four great granddaughters Aurora, Solome’, Josie, and Sophie; three sisters Virginia Smolinski, Florence Wozniak, and Theresa Cendrowski, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday June 3, 2021 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until the 10:00 AM Funeral Mass with Father Rolando Silva officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to hentkowskifuneral.com.
