Gerald Stamper

Gerald “Gerry” Harold Stamper, age 88 of Rogers Township passed away Tuesday evening February 23, 2016 at his home.
The son of Bernard and Rushia (Epperson) was born August 24, 1927 in Detroit. Gerry married Dean Blair March 7, 1953 and together they made there home in the Detriot area where he managed several bottling companies.
After retiring they moved to the Trout Lake area for 15 years, and settled down in Rogers City for the final years of his life. While in Rogers City he became a dedicated golfer at the Rogers City Country Club, spending many hours with his cherished friends.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years Dean, a sister Glenda and Jerry Keast of Florida, sister and brother in laws Linda and Larry Kozikowski; and Thomas and Evelyn Blair of Ohio; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Condale.
Visitation will be at Hentkowski Funeral Home Saturday February 27, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM, with a funeral service following at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
