Doug Bonter

Douglas Perry Bonter, age 59, of Rogers City, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, at MyMichigan Health Center in Alpena. 

 Douglas Bonter and Jaunita Kay LaPointe's son was born in Lexington, Kentucky on February 18, 1965. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Mackinaw City and then graduated from Florida.

 While in Florida he played football in High School, and had a love for football all his life. He spent years of his life living in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where him and his sister, Laurie were partners in a pizza business.

 His parents preceded him in death.

 Surviving are his sisters Tammy Ketvertis, and Laurie Socolovitch, a daughter Cari and son Christopher, and their families. Special friends James “Jay” McArthur and Julius O’Brien.

 Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held in the Spring of 2025 at Lakeview Cemetery in Mackinaw City, Michigan.
